Low Profile 10.4″ Cabin LCD introduced
Nov 09, 2005
Less than 1/2 inch thick - Thinnest Cabin Display Available
Flight Display Systems, a leader in retrofit in-flight entertainment equipment, today unveiled a .4" liquid crystal display (LCD) for cabin entertainment at the 58th annual National Business Aviation Association Inc. (NBAA) Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Roughly the thickness of a pencil, the 10.4" display is the thinnest and lightest cabin display available in the in-flight entertainment industry.
"Flight Display Systems has provided unique entertainment options to retrofit aircraft for over five years," said David Gray, Founder of Flight Display Systems. "Our new Low Profile 10.4" monitor represents the future of display technology and is the culmination of significant engineering from our company."
The 10.4" Low Profile LCD screen (
FD104CV-LP) supports a variety of video inputs, including S-Video, Composite and VGA. Native resolution of 800x600 ensures crystal clear computer graphics, such as the Flight Display
Moving Map, at up to twice the quality of S-Video. The FD104CV-LP is separated into two parts, the media box (which contains the main circuits and power supply) and the liquid crystal display. This configuration allows the aircraft completion center to discretely locate the media box while mounting the ultra-thin Low Profile display directly to a bulkhead wall.
With a weight of just 3.8 lbs, it is the lightest 10" LCD on the market today. This new product brings Flight Display Systems' line-up to three state-of-the-art
Low Profile displays - 10, 15 and 20". The Low Profile series of cabin displays offers customers increased choice and styling options in the cabin of their aircraft.
The FD104CV-LP is in stock and available today from DAC International for a suggested list price of $3,917. For ordering information, contact DAC International at 512-331-5323.
