Patent Awarded for Ellipse Direct Airborne Satellite TV
Unique design for radome antenna recognized by USPTO
Flight Display Systems, the most innovative in-flight entertainment manufacturer, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has approved its patent for the design of a radome antenna. Used with its Ellipse Direct Airborne Satellite TV product, this unique antenna was engineered to offer aircraft owners easier installation, less downtime and affordable hardware.“We are happy with the recognition of Flight Display Systems’ invention by the United States Patent and Trademark Office,” said David Gray, Flight Display Systems’ Founder.
U.S. patent number D518,819 was issued on April 11, 2006 and recognizes a new and original design for an antenna. The patent is valid for 14 years.
