New Passenger Briefing System Introduced with Audio & Video

A new passenger briefing system, featuring both audio and video capabilities, was introduced today by Flight Display Systems, an innovator in Moving Map technology.
“Unlike competing systems, which charge extra for these briefings, Flight Display Systems will include five generic passenger briefings free of charge,” said David Gray, Founder of Flight Display Systems. “This new product furthers our commitment to Moving Maps and enhancing the flight experience, both for the passenger and the crew.”For navigation systems that do not output airport ID information, the Cockpit Controller provides an easy-to-use alternative to pilot keyboard input. The Passenger Briefing and Cockpit Controller is a small, one-inch DZUS rail-mounted LED display with six buttons for pilot control. It is available in Black or Gray to match the instrument panel coloring.According to FAA Advisory Circular number 121-24C,
The advantage of an audiotape or videotape presentation is the assurance that a complete briefing is given, that the diction is good, and that an overall high quality briefing is maintained.
