2009 Year in Review
2009 was another year of growth for Flight Display Systems. Here are some of our news highlights from the past twelve months.

"The Flipper" Cockpit LCD Awarded FAA PMA Feb 2
The Flipper is already being used across the world for military and special mission operations," said David Gray, President of Flight Display Systems. “This approval from the FAA will give business and general aviation users the benefit of a compact LCD in the cockpit.”
New Blu-ray and DVD Player for Aircraft March 21st
Flight Display Systems announced the first Blu-ray disc player specifically designed for aircraft. This product is available for a list price of $4,879.
New Jet JukeBox Plays 100 DVD Movies April 3rd
The Jet JukeBox is a High-Definition (HD) media server that allows passengers to enjoy a digital library of DVDs, CDs, and images. DVD movies viewed over the High-Definition Mblockquotetimedia Interface (HDMI) are enhanced with a proprietary upscaling system to give crisp, rich images in 720p and 1080i resolutions.
Major Upgrades to Flight Display Moving Map June 3rd
Flight Display Systems announced significant upgrades to our popblockquotear Flight Display Moving Map product, including a stunning new worldwide satellite image database and increased video quality.
PMA Awarded for 3 Cabin LCD Monitors June 11th
Flight Display Systems has been granted Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) from the FAA for three new cabin LCD monitors – the 10.4-inch LCD, the 17.1-inch Widescreen LCD, and the 26-inch Widescreen LCD.
#1 Award for Avionics Service and Support Sept 1st

iPod Docking Stations and Cable Adapter Oct 28th
These new products allow passengers to easily share their music and movies throughout the aircraft on the cabin speakers, headphone jacks, wireless audio transmitters, monitors and via audio/video switching components.
New Cabin Management System – Select CMS Oct 28th
The Flight Display Systems Select CMS offers more control, easier configuration, and higher quality video at a better price than any other CMS on the market today," said David Gray, President of Flight Display Systems. "The resblockquotet is a quantum increase in quality for the passengers."
